It’s been two months since the occupy wall street (OWS) movement started. At first, nobody knew why the protestors were there. We all knew that they didn’t like the way the economy was going and that Wall Street was the place they choose to protest. Then, we heard about the movement being Anti-Capitalism (companies making a profit). What is the alternative to capitalism? Socialism, Communism, Dictatorship, Totalitarian, Anarchy. Would the protestors prefer one of those other types of government? Do they want us to be more like Cuba or North Korea?
I think that most of the protestors are there so they can feel like they have done something to try and change things – to be a part of something new and exciting. If you ask the question, like Michael Medved did on his radio show to one of the protestors, “What thing needs to happen so that you can say that your protests are successful?” or “I would feel like these protests are a success when [fill in the blank]” most of them wouldn’t know what to say. Some would say that we need to be more like North Korea like you’ll see in the video below:
Now the “Occupy” movement has moved into most of the 50 states and into many countries.
